In the era of digitalization,digital signals are widely applied in modern electronic systems such as transportation system,multimedia system and sensing system.Direct Digital Synthesis is a common used method to synthesize the digital signal.In different application scenarios,the performance requirements of digital signals are different.How to synthesize appropriate digital signals in different scenarios is very important.This dissertation synthesizes digital signals by using different digital signal synthesis method and analysis these different digital signal synthesis technology,and therefrom confirming how to choose different digital signal synthesis technology in different scenarios.This dissertation introduces the development history and basic theory of digital signal synthesis.And then enumerate the common use digital signal synthesis technology,this section emphatically introduces the basic content and realization way of three kinds of digital signal synthesis technology:look-up table method,linear interpolation algorithm based on Taylor series and CORDIC(Coordinate Rotation Digital Computer).This dissertation synthezes periodic signal:sine signal and aperiodic signal:sigmoid signal by using these digital signal synthesis technologies.By synthesising periodic signal and aperiodic signal can be more comprehensive analysising the difference of these digital signal synthesis technology.Based on traditional digital signal synthesis technology,I optimizes and improves different digital signal synthesis technology according to the characteristic of sinusoidal signal and sigmoid signal.Through sinusoidal signal and sigmoid signal are used in different scenarios to analyses the applicability of different digital signal synthesis technology.This dissertation accomplish used digital signal synthesis system on System Generator platform,and simulation on the Simulink platform to analysis synthetic digital signals.Then this dissertation choose Vivado design suit synthesize these digital signal synthesis system to analysis the resource occupancy of the design system in hardware.This dissertation analyzes the performance difference of digital signal synthesis technology from two aspects:output digital signal accuracy and system resource consumption.By analysis the result,the advantage of the method based on direct look-up table is simple design structure,the disadvantage of this method is large output signal error and resource expenditure.This method is fit for sigmoid signal that is applied to the excitation function of neural network.The advantage of linear interpolation algorithm based on Taylor series is high quality output signal,and the disadvantage is that design system occupies more storage in hardware implementation.Linear interpolation algorithm based on Taylor series,this method is suitable for synthesizing sinusoidal signal as frequency source.The advantage of CORDIC algorithm is that it has good reconfiguration and does not occupy the storage resource,the disadvantage is the design system has complex structure and the system operate slowly.
