Network Function Virtualization(NFV)decouples network function from dedicated hardware via virtulization technology.In this process,each network function is encapsulated into an NFV service and deployed on a virtual node so as to reduce the hardware and maintaining costs,and avoid the problem of vendor lock-in.The deployment of NFV service includes two aspects,one is to orchestrate multiple NFV services into a more powerful network service according to a specific topology.The other is to place the NFV services onto designated physical nodes so that the compute and network resources of physical nodes can meet the demand of NFV services,which increases the success rate of NFV service deployment.Howerver,the current NFV service orchestration mechanism mainly specific the topology structure of NFV services by writing template files,which can not directly reflect the relationship among NFV services and does not solve the problem of placing NFV services.In this thesis,we will do research on the orchestration and placement of NFV services.We will propose an NFV service orchestration mechanism and a placement algorithm.Then,we will design and implement a visualized NFV service orchestration and placement system,which utilizes an intuitionistic,high-efficient and NFV service orchestration and an optimized placement algorithm to increase the success rate of deploying NFV services.The research work of this thesis can be divided into two parts.Firstly,an algorithm of Service Placement based on Semi-Local Centrality(SP-SLC)is proposed.The SP-SLC algorithm takes the resources required by the deployment of NFV services and the available resources of the current physical nodes as input to determine whether the NFV services meets the resource constraint condition,and places the NFV service which requires the most resources at the physical node with most available resources.After placing all NFV services,SP-SLC algorithm outputs the map table of NFV services and physical nodes.This thesis uses the success rate of NFV service deployment as the performance evaluation index of the service placement algorithm.Secondly,an NFV service orchestration and placement system is designed and implemented.The system implements the functions of indentity authentication,visualized virtual network management,NFV service orchestration and placement.The system maps the NFV service orchestration into a graph model,in which the NFV services and the virtual networks are mapped to different vertices,and the relationships of NFV services and virtual networks are mapped to edges.The system applies SP-SLC algorithm when deploying NFV services.In order to validate the effectiveness of above work,this thesis tests the function and performance of the NFV service orchestration and placement system.The experiment results show that the system has high feasibility and is ease of use,and it can increase the success rate of NFV service deployment significantly.
