Polarization is the inherent property of light.It is significant to investigate polarization imaging,because the polarization properties of material can provide more dimension information for the target detection and recognition,which can improve the accuracy of target detection and the precision of target recognition.However,during the propagation of polarized light,it will be affected by different scattering systems,which will affect the absorption,scattering and reflection of the polarized light.Finally,the polarization imaging is very poor and cannot detect and identify the real object.In order to solve this problem,we propose a polarization retrieve(PR)imaging method that attenuates the influence of the scattering system using the Mueller matrix of the scattering system,so as to improve the polarization imaging quality.The mainly content of this dissertation:(1)The propagating characteristics of polarization light in different states in scattering media have been investigated.Aiming at the complexity of the transmission of polarized light in the scattering system,we have carried on the simulation to the transmission process based on the Monte Carlo algorithm.We studied the polarization evolution process of forward and backward scattering light for circularly polarized light and linear polarized light through the single homogeneous system.And the influence of polarization characteristics by the scale and mixing ratio of scattering particles in the double homogeneous mixed system has been studied.The polarization characteristics of the circularly polarized light and the linearly polarized light are discussed in detail.(2)Propose a polarization retrieve imaging system,which is based on the displacement superposition principle.In view of the influence of the scattering system on the polarization imaging and the difficulty of solving the Muller matrix of plane light source,we propose a PR method based on the Stokes vector polarization expression and the transmission properties of the Muller matrix,and using the displacement superposition principle to obtain Mueller matrix of plane light quickly and efficiently.Verify the accuracy of Mueller matrix and the effectiveness of polarization retrieve method by the simulation experiment,and the algorithm can greatly improve the polarization imaging quality.(3)The influence of the transmission length of the Mueller Matrix on the quality of the polarization retrieve imaging is studied.Aiming at the actual underwater polarization imaging with absorption characteristics,we modeled and simulated several seawater environments with the Monte Carlo tracking algorithm.And the intensity,polarization,and PR imaging at different transmission lengths are obtained.Then,the influence of the restoration on the contrast of the PR imaging was studied by adjusting the length of the recovery of the Mueller Matrix.Finally,the fusion imaging technique is used to fuse the polarization and intensity images to enhance the recognition and classification of the target.
