Encyclopedic books have the nature about collectiong data in ancient China,they copy and classify the content of ancient books,in order to help people search and quote,which have deep influence on Chinese cultural and subject.The Sikuquanshu catalog was borned in the Qianlong reign of Qing Dynasty,it compiled a large number of encyclopedic books in the sub-department,including 65 Zhulu books and217 Cunmu books.The secretaries of Institute of Siku wrote catalog for each book.Based on the synopses of The Sikuquanshu Catalog and combined the research achievements of predecessors,this article starts the study in three aspects,including the basic features content and style,the academic value of the study.The article is aimed to explore encyclopedic books catalog comprehensively and deeply.The first chapter is mainly about the basic features of the encyclopedic books catalog in Siku.In the compilation process,The Sikuquanshu Catalog has been continuously improved and revised,which influenced encyclopedic books catolog deeply.The number of departments and rolls about encyclopedic books catolog is different from actual records of WenYuanGeben.There are certain ommisions in statistics.In the content,encyclopedic books catalog is different from The summary of Sikuquanshu Catalog and The first time of sacriced catalog of Sikuquanshu.For the Zhaokeben Jianmu was printed early,encyclopedic books catalog withdrawal by Zongmu has been preserved,which reflects the control of the ruling class on the ideology and culture.The secretaries wrote the catalog based on the Chumu,,changed the content and attitude,enriched and improved the Chumu.At the same time,Zongmu reclassified the encyclopedic books,but no big difference.The Jianmu and Chumu have reference value for the study of the basic features of encyclopedic books catalog in Siku.The second chapter is based on the text of encyclopedic books catalog,analysis es its' content and features.The encyclopedic books catalog in Siku show the secretaries' generality and treatise about the content and vale in different levels about encyclopedic books,Secretaries favored the books which have innovation,fineexamination in style and rich content,They showed praised words in the catalog.It's inseparable to encyclopedic books' function and academic feactures of Qing dynasty.As the largest encyclopedic books in Sikuquanshu,YongLeDaDian was classfied in Cunmu books by secretaries.The reasons are worth exploring.Secretaries didn't explore it's vale really,we need to review its' value.In the catalog,the secretaries use the “style of YiWenLeiJu”and“style of Bei TangShuChao LvTie”to describe different encyclopedic books' style.They have its own characteristics,the secretaries prefered the “style of YiWenLei Ju”.The third chapter is a study of the academic value of encyclopedic books catalog.Secretaries widely cited other books when writting the encyclopedic books catalog.The cited books include catolog,academic notes,collections and poetries and so on.Secretaries used methods to extended and discrimed the views of the cited books or make supplementary and circumstantial evidence.At the same time,there were some problems in the catalog,such as the rang of cited books were limited,and occured corruption.There were many fake books,the secretaries had the rigorous academic attitude,they study the text,compared other books,integrated use methods to distinguish the fake books and restore the original appearance of the encyclopedic books.They also make mistakes when distinguishing the fake books.The evidence was not enough and the examination was wrong.The secretaries also analysised the defects.They attitude were different among classic encyclopedic books,Guanxiu encyclopedic books and “YongLeDaDianben” encyclopedic books.At the same time,encyclopedic books has the function on tracing acadmic origin.We need to combine the academic background of Qing Dynasty,treat the academic vale of encyclopedic books catalog objectively and dialectically.
