The Polarization Sensitive Array(PSA,Polarization Sensitive Array)can gain the polarization of the incident electromagnetic wave,it has many advantages compared with scalar Array,and has be more widely applied,has becomed one of the hot research topic in recent years.A complete polarization sensitive array has six components,can obtain the electric field component and magnetic field component of incident signal.We can receive any a low dimensional vector sensor antenna if one or more components are removed from the complete polarization sensitive array.This paper only consider the three kinds of array structure which are available for gain electric field component of incident signal,i.e.,multi-Polarization sensitive array,co-centered crossed-dipole pair array and the three orthogonal pole array.Firstly,for conformal antenna,every element of array has different polarization,we consider a multi-polarization sensitive array which each array only consists of one component.The multi-Polarization sensitive array can receive signals with any polarization compared with scalar array or single polarized array,also it can get the DOA and polarization estimation through MUSIC method.Secondly,considering the broadband systems are often has many channels,we introduce the S-MUSIC method which divided whole array into different subarrays and sampling at the same time,to use less channel number to complete the purpose of the parameter estimation of the incoming signal.Secondly,this paper puts forward a new solution for the problem that DOA and polarization parameter mismatching in rank-defect MUSIC method and channel amplitude-phase error correction combined with orthogonal polarization sensitive array.Rank-defect MUSIC method changes the four dimensional search about the DOA and polarization parameters into two two dimensional search only about the DOA and only about the polarization to reduce the amount of calculation,but decoupling process leads to DOA and polarization parameters do not match.We proposed add a auxiliary judge criteria to make parameter matching,for the main basis is the spectral density value is the largest when four dimensional parameters matching.In the presence of amplitude-phase error between array channels,the addition of polarization parameters makes different components has amplitude and phase differences when receive signal,it influence the amplitude and phase errorcorrection.Aimed at this problem this paper proposes a solution that correcting different components firstly then correcting all array.This method can successfully correct the channel amplitude and phase error and improve the parameter estimation performance in a polarization sensitive array.Finally,this paper introduce the virtual space smoothing method,polarization smoothing method and expand alternating projection method to polarization domain based on the three orthogonal polarization sensitive array to solve the coherent signal parameter estimation.Virtual spatial smoothing algorithm can implement coherent solution but narrowed the array aperture and restricted to array the airspace structure.Aimed at the characteristics of the Polarization sensitive array,we introduce the Polarization Smoothing algorithm(PS)and Polarization Difference Smoothing algorithm(PDA).Unlike the space smoothing,polarization smoothing algorithm take the same weight of different polarization sensitive array as a subarray,polarization smoothing is not limited to the array of space shape,and will not narrow the effective aperture of the whole array.For the situation that space has coherent or uneven noise,polarization difference smoothing algorithm has better estimation performance.Finally this paper introduces the method of maximum likelihood(ML)and it's fast solution,Alternating Projection algorithm(AP),can be directly for the coherent signal processing.In this paper we expand the alternating projection algorithm further to polarization domain,and it can get the estimation DOA and polarization parameter of coherent signal.
