In recent years,with the maturity of 3G technology and the upgrading of 3G network coverage,3G products have been used in a very wide range of area.As the representative of electronic devices,3G mobile intelligent terminal has been rapid promotion,which enriched people's social life.Combining with embedded technology has promoted the 3G technology in mobile and miniaturization,and has a great significance in 3G technology improvement and popularity.Based on this,this paper studied the technology of software and hardware design in extending 3G module on i.MX536 embedded systems.The hardware design of 3G module is based on MU739 WCDMA module,and the operating system running on the i.MX536 is Android 2.3.4 version.By implemented hardware design and software migration of 3G module on an embedded system,this paper discussed the working mechanisms and principles of 3G module in embedded systems.Meanwhile,the paper also designed the corresponding low-level drivers for 3G module's commonly control pin,and the corresponding control procedures in application layer combined with JNI technology and Android NDK.Finally,by writing Android applications,completed the task that send the data read by the local serial port by the 3G module to the remote destination host.This study is a key component of the "automobile cloud computing platform in internet of vehicles" project.The technologies acquired by this project,such as 3G hardware extensions technology,driver software porting technology and application layer software design technology,can provide technical reference for the development of 3G devices.Therefor it has a strong practical significance.
