Now more and more applications are connected to network, and the needs and implementation of network are becoming more and more complicated. With the development of low carbon information economy and the emergence of network technologies and applications such as cloud computing,NFV(Network Function Virtualization)and fog computing technology have become one of the focuses of scholars both at home and abroad in recent years. As a new emerging network technology,NFV and fog computing are important solutions to the current "rigid" problem of the Internet, based on NFV technology to integrate and simplify the network resources will become the future direction of the overall construction of the Internet. This paper studies the design and implementation of fog computing based on NFV.Mainly focusing on the data communication network elements of router, firewall and deep packet inspection, using of virtualization technology running on the X86 general platform for design and practice.Through the different two layer virtual switching equipment, different network elements are connected on demand to achieve the service chain model, and a master virtual machine will be used for centralized management, and then run different control software(such as Openstack and Web services, etc.)to realize system visualization, network element equipment programmable and customizable, and flexible management of network topology. In addition, because the fog computing will offload the workload from the cloud to run locally, meanwhile the field of data communication has high requirements for throughput, new session rate, delay and other system performance, the system performance of fog computing is optimized in this paper, including CPU,memory, network I/O interface and the optimization of host forwarding channel.
