With the development of the Internet,various types of access technologies compete with each other.Heterogeneous networks formed by convergence of different networks have become more and more common.In the meantime,the booming mobile Internet has diversified the types of mobile services,data traffic generated on mobile data networks is growing,and cellular networks are not enough to carry that much traffic.As the main carriers of these mobile services,smartphones have many interfaces such as cellular and Wi-Fi,but due to the limitations of the TCP protocol,these mobile phones can only use one interface at a time.Given that operators are beginning to struggle to carry all these traffic over 3G or 4G networks,Wi-Fi is being widely deployed and may be used to offload.The recently standardized multipath TCP protocol is an evolution of the TCP protocol that allows simultaneous use of multiple network port paths for data transmission over a single connection while still providing standard TCP socket APIs to upper layer applications and is compatible with various network protocols.The multipath TCP protocol makes full use of the advantages of multi-network access and satisfies the user's demand for bandwidth,which has become a hot spot for people to study.In view of this kind of condition,this thesis proposes and designs a mobile video transmission system based on multipath TCP,and applies it to a real heterogeneous wireless network,analyzes the system's compatibility with the real network and different interfaces The results show that the multi-path mobile video system can well aggregate the multi-interface resources of the smart phone and can adaptively backward compatible with the existing Internet architecture.Of course,the multipath TCP protocol itself still has some features such as packet reordering problems,we introduce network coding into the system to improve it,to further enhance the transmission performance,optimizing the user experience.
