The rapid development of optical fiber communication to increase the demand for optical fiber,the optical fiber manufacturers to create the scale and production capacity continues to expand,the size of optical fiber preforms also continue to larger diameter,longer length direction.At the same time,optical fiber communication is also diversified development,no longer limited to G.652.D fiber.This paper mainly designs and develops Mini-200 small-size single-mode fiber with micro-cable from the point of view of optimization and development of communication system and limited resource utilization.The main research results are as follows: fiber design,drawing design,fiber curing system,fiber performance,engineering application and so on.The main research results are as follows:(1)Mini-G.652.D small size single mode fiber design: the main focus of fiber attenuation,by analyzing the impact of attenuation factors,and ultimately get three improvement programs: the use of pure silicon core instead of doped trace elements of the core layer;increase the core diameter of the fiber;The sag is concave and the waveguide structure of the fiber is given.(2)Mini-G.652.D small size single mode fiber drawing die: For Mini-G.652.D fiber,through the coating process of its pressure distribution of the theoretical calculation and analysis,and mold aperture and mold taper Re-design,and finally come to the mold for the mini-type fiber drawing parameters,namely: mold within the coated aperture of 185?m,coated aperture at 224?m,mold cone angle between 8 to 11 degrees.(3)Mini-G.652.D small size single mode fiber coating curing system: the subject in the development process,the use of fiber curing is a new UV-LED curing technology,this curing technology curing wavelength stability,energy concentration,can efficiently cure fiber,while such equipment Compared with the traditional curing method,the failure time is reduced by 92%,the failure rate is reduced by 87%,and the production energy consumption is reduced by 90%.So UV-LED curing is one of the most effective ways to improve efficiency.(4)Mini-G.652.D small size single mode fiber performance: Through the development of fiber performance indicators of the test and routine test of the test,fiber indicators are consistent with or better than the normal national standard fiber,with the promotion and practicality.(5)Engineering application of Mini-G.652.D small Size Single Mode Optical Fiber: The fiber has been used in Huai'an Xuyi pilot,the application of welding loss,tensile strength and other indicators of good performance,with the existing ordinary diameter fiber has good compatibility,and through the acceptance of a telecommunications operator in Jiangsu.
