The rapid development of RAN gives rise to various changes.It appears that the traditional access technology could no longer meet the need of increasing integrated services.As a major part of mobile communication system,IP Interface will play an essential role in future mobile services due to its flexibility,efficiency and easy maintenances.Therefore,the research on the technology concerned with All-IP RAN bears great theoretical and practical significance.The paper first introduces the basic concept,and generalizes the function of network element and interfaces of RAN with various communication standards.Based on the above analysis,the paper summarizes the versatility feature of RAN and explores its All-IP technology.In the following three chapters,the paper examines the three mandatory network interfaces,namely PS domain interface,base station side interface and CS domain interface in four perspectives including developing time,standard evolution,critical technology,implementation difficulty as well as difficulty of realization.Firstly,the Gb interface in the GSM network PS domain is used as an example.Theoretically,the technical advantage of modified Gb interface is evident through comparing with the traditional FR access.Focusing on the implementation of the Gb over IP technology,the research combines Gb interface with IP bearer network configuration in the case of the Gb interface engineering project conducted by Henan Kaifeng China Mobile,providing also a thorough analysis and planning as well as possible configuration and testing methods for the practical transformation of KFBSC21.Secondly,the paper takes into account the Iub interface on the base station side in WCDMA network,using the traditional ATM technology as carrier to further explore the wireless communication network,in terms of interface protocol,IP transmission mode,VLAN division and CAC.In addition,a practical engineering proposal is also given for the case of WCDMA construction project in the Gansu Jiuquan China Unicom,with two methods featuring VCC Bundle and Dual Iub using ATM + IP in the intergradations on lub interface.The paper also analyzes the pros and cons of the above two methods,in order to resolve the configuration of base side interface in different environment conditions,providing key configuration steps and precautions for the proposal mentioned above.Finally,making BSC/RNC transforming to Pool a necessity.In terms of engineering practice,the research made the transformation from BSC into MSC Pool network possible in the case of Jixi China Mobile,taking Heilongjiang's current telephone network into consideration.Thus,the local mobile network structure in Jixi becomes more compatible,with increased capability in load balancing and disaster recovery.Thereby the purpose of this study is fulfilled.In conclusion,the paper gives a comprehensive description of relevant technologies on the All-IP of RAN in the first place.After an overall experiment,analysis and discussion on the three mandatory network interfaces,a systemic proposal is provided for the purpose of lowering operating costs and improving service supportability,which is also in accordance with the win-win situation on both operator and customer sides.Finally,the conclusion is drawn and relevant future research directions are also predicted.
