With the continued development of network technology,the cost of bandwidth is decreasing,and network access devices' types are increasing.It makes the multi-homing terminals which were best known by equipping with multiple network interface become more and more popular.However,the feature of multi-homing terminals also bring a series of problems,especially how to make the best of multi-homing devices' redundant network resources,how to balance the throughput of difference path,and how to improve the performance of multi-path transport,will be the most hot topics on the research of multi-path transport protocol.MPTCP(Multipath TCP)is an extended protocol of TCP which is proposed and standardized by IETF.MPTCP could split a TCP flow to multiple subflows,and it can take full advantage of redundant paths which is offered by multi-homing devices to transfer data.Although MPTCP can improve the throughput of multi-homing network and ensure the robustness of network,but most of research on MPTCP is at the experimental phase,when it is applied to different network,it will occur different problem:when MPTCP is applied in mobile network,MPTCP will occur the problem of Bufferbloat;when apply to datacenter network,MPTCP can not get the correct congestion state of high concurrent flows.In this article,we'll analysis the feature of MPTCP in detail,and optimize MPTCP in different network.This article did the following work:1.Introduce the technical detail of MPTCP.Including the structure of MPTCP,the basic operation of MPTCP,and design principle of MPTCP.2.Aiming to the problem of MPTCP in mobile network,we proposed a MPTCP optimize mechanism which is named AW-OLIA(Adjust receive Window and Opportunistic Linked Increases)MPTCP.AW-OLIA can adaptive adjust the receive window,prevent MPTCP from the problem of Bufferbloat,and it can transfer data from more congestion path to less congestion path to ensure the fairness with TCP.3.Aiming to the problem of MPTCP can't get the correct congestion state of high concurrent flows in datacenter network,we proposed AMP(Adjust Time Granularity Based Multipath TCP),AMP uses ECN to adjust the time granularity of congestion detect and control,then it can deal with congestion control in a more precise way.
