Radiation analysis of antenna array is of great importance in computational electromagnetics,which serves as an important guiding role in the research of surveillance radar,wireless communication system and phased array system.In this dissertation,we focus on the radiation characteristics of metal-dielectric antenna array based on the numerical simulation tool-the method of moments(MoM).The major contributions are outlined as follows:1.MoM is derived in detail to deal with electromagnetic radiation problem,including the special processing of target modeling,the selection of the basis function,the processing of singularity,the seclection of feed model,the calculation of voltage vector,and the solution of coefficient matrix.2.On the basis of MoM,this paper introduces two types of characteristic basis function method(CBFM)which are efficient to analyze the electromagnetic radiation problem of the metal antenna array.At the same time,the singular value decomposition(SVD)and adaptive cross approximation(ACA)method are also presented to accelerate the CBFM.3.The principle and numerical implementation of the finite element-boundary integral(FE-BI)method are presented in detail.In particular,the selection of the interpolation basis function,the dispersion of the formula,the setting of the excitation,the processing of the lumped elements and the solution of matrix equation.It is proposed to add the current wire in the finite element region to accurately simulate the coaxial feed model.The FE-BI is applied to deal with the electromagnetic radiation of 3D metal-dielectric antenna.4.Combining the FE-BI method with the first kind of CBFM,we proposed an efficient hybrid FE-BI-CBFM algorithm to analyze antenna array which has complex structure.First of all,the whole array structures are divided into several blocks and the antenna element is calculated by FE-BI method.Secondly,the primary basis function and the second basis function are solved by using the external excitation.The SVD method is also presented to improve the CBFM and an orthogonal characteristic basis function(CBFs)is generated.ACA method is used so that the matrix filling of the coupling impedance between block units is accelerated.Finally,the hybrid FE-BI-ACA-CBFM method is used to improve the computational efficiency.Numerical results are provided to demonstrate the efficiency and accuracy of the method compared with the results of commercial software FEKO.
