A Study On The Change Of Female Image In The Ladies' Journal And Its Causes

Founded in 1915,the ladies' journal,with its unique editorial thought and content,get the favor of readers at home and abroad.It becomes the journal of women of releasing the longest time and have a big influence in modern history of China.It experiences the whole process of the new culture movement and the May 4th movement,not only witness the whole process of the ideological change in modern China,but also provide a way for the academic study of modern women' issues.This paper is divided into six parts.The first part is introduction.The second part is mainly introduce the thought background and objective orientation of the ladies' journal.From the Angle of the era,this article analyzes the historical reasons of the magazine,and from the perspective of "service",expounds the magazine's readers,content,style and format.The third,forth,and fifth parts,are mainly divided into three parts for analysis.Because of the change in the editing of journal,it presents a completely different editorial thought and content.From the “clever wife and wise mother” of the family,to the "new woman" of the society,the ladies' journal played a major role in lead women to awakening.Although the ladies' journal has incomparable advantage over other publications,but in the new era of the picture.It inevitably be branded with the old times.And the sixth part mainly around the magazine idea and content of "limited".As a non mainstream media,it has to say a miracle for the ladies' journal.Because it can survive in the environment of political unrest,take guiding women' liberation movement,and promote female awakening.For the strict sense,the ladies' journal has experienced three thought and content of adjustment,but every change of the content accord with the requirement of the women.It is shaped by the image of women,not only meet the demand of the men of that age,but also set up the model of learning for the women.
