In the field of signal processing,the time delay is an important parameter to characterize the signal,and estimating the time delay of homologous signals accurately and quickly has a very important significance on determining the distance,speed and other related parameters.With the wide application of time delay estimation in many fields,more practical factors need to be considered in the method,so the research of time delay estimation also presents diversity.In the field of time delay estimation,the controls of time-delay precision and computational complexity have always been an important direction for many researchers to improve the delay estimation algorithm.For the traditional correlation method,the minimum mean square(LMS)algorithm and other algorithm's estimation accuracy can only reach the integer multiple of sampling units,and it will face the large amount of computing and other core issues if improving the accuracy by using the method of interpolation.So,this dissertation put forward a new method of delay estimation based on adaptive control technology.This new method transforms the delay variable into the sample value difference of the source signal and the delay signal,and then realizes the high precision estimation of the delay variable by using LMS adaptive iteration.The method can achieve the estimation accuracy of fractional sampling unit level with less number of iterations,and has better robustness to noise at the same time.The results of the simulation data verify the effectiveness of this method.In order to verify the practicability of the proposed algorithm,this dissertation describes the photoelectric detection system's principle and process when reading overprint error in the background of color overprint,and collects large amounts of overlay error real data through doing field study.For the measured data,this dissertation applies the time delay estimation method based on adaptive control to the chromatography error detection based on real data,and calibrates the detected real-time error,which provides a new direction for precision control of color printing registration error.
