Time-varying magnitude Chirp signal has been widely applied in practicalengineering,because of the attenuation or other reasons, The amplitude of the signalcan not maintain a constant when we are doing the actual signal processing,so theparameter estimation and time delay estimation of time-varying amplitude Chirpsignal have more engineering practical significance.There has been a lot results aboutparameter estimation and time delay estimation of the constant amplitude Chirpsignal,but little people research the parameter estimation and time delay estimation ofthe time-varying amplitude Chirp signal.1. According to the principle of using FRFT to estimate the time delay of theconstant amplitude Chirp signal,estimate the time-delay of the time-varyingmagnitude Chirp signal.2. Use FRFT to research the parameter estimation of the time-varying magnitudeChirp signal. as a reference,we also estimate the parameter of the constant amplitudeChirp signal, analyse estimated accuracy.Compare the estimated accuracy of FRFTwith the estimated accuracy of Cross spectrum MUSIC. The compared resultsshow that the method proposed in this paper with strong adaptability and actualengineering significance.3. Use the fractional Fourier transform estimate the time delay of thetime-varying amplitude Chirp signal,to estimate the time delay of the constantamplitude Chirp signal as the reference,obtain the curve of mean square error of thetwo signals; In signal amplitude are unknown,compare the estimate precision ofFRFT with the cross spectrum MUSIC, Explain the method in this paper is very good.Through the work of this paper, We think it’s feasible to use FRFT to estamitethe parameter and time delay of time-varying amplitude Chirp signal, the estimationprecision is almost the same as the constant amplitude Chirp. And in the amplitude of signal is unknown for constant or variable, the es timation precision is better than thecross spectrumMUSIC.
