With the rapid development of modern science and technology,people begin to realize that time delay exists in many practical control systems,such as network control systems,industrial systems,communication systems.Time delay leads to instability or performance degradation.However people still constantly put forward more and more stringent performance requirements to modern control system.In order to resolve this contradiction much efforts have been done to time-delay systems and many results have been obtained.But these results exist some conservation.In order to reduce conservation,based on the previous research results,the discrete-time systems with interval time-varying delay is studied in this dissertation.So far we have obtained a new stability criterion and some new controller design methods for this kind of systems.In addition,we successfully applied the new controller design methods to the network control systems.The specific contents of this dissertation are as follows.In this dissertation we study the discrete-time systems with interval time-varying delay.Based on the existing research results of the systems,a new Lyapunov function is constructed by using an augmented function and a new time delay partitioning approach.In the processing of the new function the Abel lemma-based finite-sum inequality is used to estimate the forward difference of the function.A less conservative delay-dependent stability criteria for discrete-time systems with interval time-varying delay are proposed.In addition we also investigate the problem of H_? performance for this kind of systems.After that some numerical examples are given to illustrate the correctness of above conclusions.Combined with above results,the design methods of the stabilizing controller and H_? controller for discrete-time systems with interval time-varying delay are discussed.And some numerical examples are given to verify the correctness of the conclusions.At the end of this dissertation,we discussed network control systems.Based on the research results in this dissertation,the design methods of the stabilizing controller and H_? controller for network control systems are derived.Finally we used the inverted pendulum system to verify the effectiveness of the above conclusions.
