Compared with conventional switched system, Markov jump systems have a richer structure and parametric variations, and can describe almost all kinds of physical systems better.Markov jump system is an important switched system and widely applied in the physical, chemical, aerospace engineering, finance and other fields. It attracts the attention of the domestic and foreign scholars, becoming one of the hottest topic of theoretical research. It is usually assumed that the information on transition rates is completely known and the system states can be observed without time-delay in most of the related studies about Markov jump system. In fact, the condition can not be satisfied because of the uncertainty of the system and non-fragility of controller. In this paper, the above problems is studied for Markov jump systems with partially known transition rates. It includes two parts as follows:(1) Robust finite-time H?control for uncertain time-varying delayed Markov jump systems with partially known transition rates. To solve the problem of robust finite-time H?control for Markov jump systems with partially known transition rates, a kind of new Lyapunov functional with multiple integral is constructed to weaken the conservatism of the system. A state feedback controller is designed to present the sufficient conditions ensuring robust finite-time H?state feedback stability for Markov jump systems. For the seek of computational convenience, all the conditions are improved in the format of linear matrix inequalities. Finally, an example is provided to demonstrate the effectiveness of the result.(2) Robust finite-time H?control for Markov jump systems with partially known transition rates via sliding model control. For Markov jump systems with partially known transition rates and immeasurable system state, a non-fragile state observer is utilized to estimate the original state. Then a sliding mode control design is presented with the estimated value to ensure the system approaching the sliding surface in a shot limite time. The sliding mode surface is designed with the integral form to weaken the impact of uncertainty and time-delay. Seeking computational convenience, all the conditions are improved in the format of linear matrix inequalities. Finally, an example is provided to show the feasibility and the effectiveness of the result.
