Since the 1990 s,photonic crystal fiber(PCF)has been widely concerned in the field of optical fiber communication and sensing.Because of its high birefringence,low loss,dispersion adjustable,high nonlinear and many other ordinary fiber is difficult to compare the characteristics,so by more and more scientific research workers of all ages,has become a hot field of research.TIR-PCF,which is a regular nibbling periodic arrangement,is studied by using the full vector finite element method.The effects of different air hole arrangement shapes,duty cycle and wavelength on the temperature characteristics And compared with the regular hexagonal structure of the photonic crystal fiber.(SMF,single mode fiber;PCF,photonic crystal fiber)MZI(Mach-Zehnder interferometer)temperature sensor is proposed on the basis of this paper.The influence of temperature change on the loss of the sensor and the effective refractive index difference is studied.The effect of the thermal material on the temperature characteristics of the sensor is studied by filling the air hole of the sensor with the heat-sensitive material.In this paper,by studying the development process and development status of photonic crystal fiber,this paper chooses it as the research object on the basis of fully understanding the special properties and application value of photonic crystal fiber.In this paper,the important parameters of photonic crystal fiber are introduced,such as effective refractive index,limiting loss,birefringence and so on.Then,the effective refractive index method,plane wave expansion method,local function method,time domain finite difference method,finite element method Method and so on.In this paper,the full-vector finite element method is used to simulate the COMSOL software platform.On the basis of the previous preparatory work,a new type of positive nibble clad photonic crystal fiber is proposed.The influence of the parameters on the birefringence,limiting loss and mode field of PCF is observed.In addition,the temperature sensing characteristics of the PCF are studied and compared with the Finally,based on the new photonic crystal fiber,the medium material of the air hole was changed to study its effect on the performance of PCF.By comparing the selected NaCl solution as the filling medium and studying the analysis of the filling,The effective refractive index,limiting loss and birefringence changes,on this basis,the design of a base The temperature sensing characteristics of the tapered SMF-PCF-SMF MZI temperature sensor were analyzed in the range of-20? to 80?.
