With the development of intelligence technology,information of internet is expansion and more and more people surf on the internet,so we require the speed of transimation on the internet is also increasing.Now SAN(Storage Area Network)has been studied and applied,which bulit on new generate hard ware-based instruments,for example large-capacity FC(Fiber Channel)switch?FC HUB and so on.SAN has advantage over traditional DAS(Direct-Attached Storage),DAS has some disadvantage,such as poor scalablity?low resource utilization?management difficulties.In the program of using SAN,the data storaging of formed network come ture,every devices accessing in SAN can get super-speed?secure?raliable access to data.This paper force on studying high-speed switch fabric and achieve the purpose of hige-speed data exchange.This paper introduce the fabric of modern large-scale switch,then compare them and choice one of fabrics.In order to achieve non-blocking exchange,CICQ(Combine Input Crosspoint Queued)and Crossbar is applied.VOQ(Virtual Output Queueing)is employed to eliminate HOL(head of line)blocking.Next,this paper study and compare the existing algorithm for exchange,then iSLIP is adopted to achieve the schedule of switch.On this basis,using distributed schedule reach the aim of exchange of variable of length frame on crossbar fabric.In this paper,using FC protocol traffic control mechanism,design the buffer memory of data?the processing of data received and transmitted?the fabric of crossbar to achieve the difference priorities and types of frame reaching to corresponding destination port,so that the frame can be forwarding to destination port reasonable.in the final,the exchange system of switch which port number is 16x16 will be designed and verified in order to check the deficiency of the design.
