Target tracking,signature extraction and recognition for midcourse missile defense require high precision radar range measurement.Technic of range measurement with high precision is becoming a hot research aspect in recent years.Under this background,research on radar target ranging estimation based on phase derived range supported by slip matching of envelopes is carried out in this dissertation.The simulations have verified the validity of the method on practical application.Chapter 1 shows the significance and background of this dissertation at first.Then the development of the phase-derived range in abroad and domestic area is shown in details;it is pointed out that the superiority of phase-derived range over other methods on extraction of micro-motion signature.The achievements of USA is illustrated as an example.At last,the main content and framework of the whole thesis have been shown.In Chapter 2,radar target ranging estimation based on slip matching of envelopes has been analyzed mainly.Firstly,we illustrate the principle of resolving ambiguous phase based on slip mathching of envelopes technology in detail.The range bins increment between successive pulses are measured and recorded;the ambiguous circles can be yielded;then,measure the ambiguous phase.Combine ambiguous phase and ambiguous circles,the radial range increment can be obtained by transferring the unambiguous Doppler phase to range.Secondly,the condition of the proposed method's validity is caculated.At last,simulations have verified the high precision of the range measurement method.In Chapter 3,radar signature extraction of decoys released by missile based on the proposed method has been analyzed mainly.At first,the decoy releasing model of missile target is presented,and it applies ranging estimation based on slip matching of envelopes technology to obtain precise range measurements using linear frequency modulation under special scene.Then a more precise process of decoy releasing can be obtained.Secondly,the decoy expansion model missile is bulit,using the same range measurement method based on slip of envelopes,the range variation of the points on the model can be gotten and the expansion index can be caculated.At last,simulation experiments verify the validation of the application of ranging measurement on extracting the characteristic of releasing decoy,and analyze the range measurement ability separately under different radar parameter settings.Chapter 4 summarizes the content of the whole thesis,pointing out the main work and innovation of the research.And some consideration and thoughts on the futher development of the research is also given.
