Dual-wavelength mid infrared optical parametric oscillator has important application in the field of terahertz wave,material detection and photoelectric countermeasure,and has been widely studied by the academic researchers in recent years.In order to overcome the drawbacks of the existing dual-wavelength mid-infrared optical parametric oscillator scheme such as complicated system structure,difficult crystal manufacture,poor system stability and so on,we proposed,for the first time,a novel dual-wavelength mid-infrared optical parametric oscillator structure: dual-wavelength fiber laser pumped optical parametric oscillator.Theoretical and experimental investigations in this thesis are list as below.(1)By pumping the optical parametric oscillator with dual wavelength non polarization maintaining fiber laser,dual-wavelength mid-infrared laser output is achieved,indicating the feasibility of dual-wavelength fiber laser pumped optical parametric oscillator.(2)The influence of the signal light stimulated Raman scattering on the optical parametric conversion process is analyzed based on the experimental results.We,for the first time,demonstrated that the signal light stimulated Raman scattering effect will benefit the generation of the mid-infrared laser.(3)On the basis of the experimental results,a theoretical model is established,for the first time,to describe the optical parametric conversion process of dual-wavelength fiber laser pumped optical parametric oscillator,namely,?multi-wavelength pumped optical parametric oscillator transmission equation?.Numerical results based on this mode shows highly consistent with the experiment.(4)By pumping the optical parametric oscillator with dual-wave linear polarized fiber laser,a stable output power of 6.36 W dual-wavelength mid infrared laser is achieved with the mid-infrared conversion efficiency of 11%.To our best knowledge,this is the highest mid-infrared conversion efficiency achieved continuous wave dualwavelength mid-infrared optical parametric oscillator.The pertinent results of this thesis will further enrich the theory of optical parametric conversion and the nonlinear optics,and provide technical support for the realization of high power dual-wavelength optical parametric oscillator.
