Single photon source(SPS),a basic light source of quantum optics,plays an important role in quantum physics and has a very wide range of applications.During the past decades,numerous researches have focused on the SPS and its detector in the field of quantum information science.Here,the quantum information science mainly covers encoding,communication,processing particle measurements.Previous studies revealed that the quantum bits were more suitable for calculating quantum when compared with the classical particles.Meanwhile,the preparation of SPS has been realized in plenty of materials or systems utilizing various mathods,including single ions,single molecules,quantum dots and colour centres.To the best of our knowledge,advantages and limitations are both presented in anyone of those different methods.For instance,SPS with high efficiency and high indistinguishable act as crucial roles in semiconductor quantum.Complementally,a necessary requirement of the process is cryogenic temperature which is very challengeable to achieve and has become the primary obstacle for its commercialization.Hence,how to overcome the problem has attracted more and more attentions from researchers.Therefore,in the present study,we aimed to prepare a kind of SPS at room temperature environment based on particle erbium doped fiber,termed with Er-SPS.For purpose of evaluating the feasibility of this prepared method and the properties of Er-SPS in practice,two dominate induces were implemented,indistinguishability and two order correlation function.Besides,using the SPS detector to conduct coincidence detection,we uncovered that the indistinguishability was up to 99%,which indicated potential application of the prepared approach in quantum communication.Most importantly,the Er-SPS has high distinguishability,tunable wavelength,determinacy,and spontaneous emission.In summary,we have successfully prepared the Er-SPS which is quite close to the ideal SPS.The findings might relieve economic and technological pressure from the commercial appliactions of SPS,and give great insights to future studies of the SPS.
