Research On The Application Of VR Technology In Virtual Teaching

The rapid development in information technology have made accessible new teaching methods and media to use in education.At present,the applications of multimedia technology in teaching is already very extensive,but technological progress have provided us yet another new tool to exploit.Virtual reality(VR)is a technology that have been in development since end of 20 th century but only recently have made breakthrough to be widely available in consumer market.It's a comprehensive technology that immerses person in virtual non-existing environment via stereoscopic vision,rock-solid tracking,stereo sound and possibly with trackable controllers with haptic feedback.Thus created environments and situations required for teaching in VR will have much bigger impact in involvement and motivation of students than traditional media.VR has advantage of showing subject in much more easy to comprehend way since it can be modeled as first person experience,allowing to use one's own visual and auditory senses.And because it's can also be interactive there is no limits of possible ways to use this technology.This article will conduct the research on application of VR from the perspective of education.Explain how it can be integrated in and which tools can be used or developed for that.It will also put forward the new research areas related to virtual reality teaching.
