The micro-laser based on quantum dot-microcavity system has attracted more and more attention due to many of its unique properties.By studying on the pumping manner,the spectroscopy and the lasing performance of the quantum dot-microcavity laser,plentiful valuable findings have been found,which can promote people to understand the light-matter interaction and thus open a door for exploring the quantum world.Among numerous studies on quantum dot-microcavity lasers,some select the coherent pumping method to excite the coupling system,and others choose the incoherent pumping method.In this master thesis,we give out a new proposal on combining the above two kinds of pumping methods together and carry out further discussion and analysis.The fully quantum theory and the Jaynes-Cummings model are adopted and a new modified schrodinger equation is built according to the different initial conditions.Simulation results indicate that our new scheme can improve the lasing performance of the quantum dot-microcavity system when compared with other former methods.Specifically,there are two new approaches to improve the lasing performance: the introduction of coherent pumping and the usage of the matching condition when the system is excited by the incoherent pumping.The application of the matching condition can maximize the range of the strong coupling,which can improve the lasing performance.By adjusting the value of the coherent pump,the photon number distribution can be adjusted to the poisson distribution and the good coherence of the laser can be obtained.Using the matching condition means the more stringent conditions,while the combination scheme can be implemented easily.Besides,the spectroscopy of both coherent pump and incoherent pump are also analyzed.It is observed that the system transits from the quantum regime to the lasing regime with the increasing of pump.For the combination scheme of two pumps,the spectroscopy is more complex and has the similar transition.
