Antenna is a significant element in wireless communication systems,which decides whether the wireless signal can be received by the systems or not.As a kind of antennas,compared with traditional high gain antenna,namely based on optical ray principle aperture antenna and interference principle array antenna,compound air-fed array(CAFA)antenna equipped with features of feeding simplicity,structure of low profile,etc.This thesis mainly do the following work on printed air-fed array antenna unit and array:First: Designing a compound air-fed array antenna which adapts coaxial feed and U type feed patch,radiation patch adapts square size,patch array 10×11,aperture size of antenna 35×30 mm,resonant frequency 28 GHz,relative bandwidth under-10 dB is 27.5GHz-29.5GHz,antenna gain19 dBi,and with a simple structure.Second: Designing a compound air-fed array antenna which radiation patch adapts circular size,and also adapts coaxial feed and U type feed patch,aperture size 35×30 mm,center frequency of antenna is 28 GHz,relative bandwidth is 27.6GHz-28.3GHz,antenna gain 18.6dBi.Third: Using the 28 GHz printed air_fed array antenna as a unit,the array antenna was studied from 1×2 to 8×8.The results indicate that antenna unit can form high gain antennas.Since the designing antennas have high gain performance,so they are expected to be applied in5 G mobile communication system and certainly have practical engineering values.
