As the increasing requirement of channel capacity and data rate for next-generation mobile broadband communication systems,three-dimensional multiple-input multiple-output(3D MIMO)systems have been attracting much attentions in recent years.Meanwhile,high accuracy channel estimation is inevitably one of the most essential tasks for designing the 3D MIMO systems.Hence quantum bacterial foraging optimization(QBFO)is studied and inproved in this paper,and a novel 3D MIMO sparse channel estimation scheme based on quantum bacterial foraging optimization is proposed.The main contributions of this paper are concluded as follows:Firstly,3D MIMO channel are studied and compared with 2D MIMO channel.Then the sparsity of 3D MIMO multipaths channel is researched.Based on the sparse channel characteristics,least-squares(LS),iteratively-reweighed-least-squares(IRLS),matching pursuit(MP)and orthogonal-matching-pursuit(OMP)are used to estimate 3D MIMO sparse channel.Secondly,quantum bacterial foraging optimization is studied and improved.Recent years,warm intelligence algorithm has been widely concerned in the international computational intelligence community,with the advantages of simple operation,robust and strong ability of self-organization.And warm intelligence algorithm has been used in wireless communication and signal processing suceessfully.The performance of QBFO algorithm is analyzed.Then the reproduction operation and elimination-dispersal operation are studied,new reproduction operation selection mechanism and adapative elimination-dispersal probability are proposed.Through four different types of standard test functions of optimization performance research,statistical results show that the improved QBFO algorithm in the convergence accuracy is superior to original QBFO algorithm.Thirdly,a novel 3D MIMO sparse channel estiamiton scheme is proposed based on QBFO algorithm.Based on the sparsity of 3D MIMO multipaths channel,a hybrid paradigm optimization criterion is chosed.And QBFO algorithm has advantage in solving complex combination problems,so a novel 3D MIMO sparse channel estiamiton scheme is designed based on QBFO algorithm.Numerical simulations are conducted to confirm that the proposed channel scheme based on QBFO algorithm can greatly improve 3D MIMO channel estimation performance compared to traditional non-intelligence algorithm estimation algorithms.
