As a measure of covert communication,Radar Embedded Communication gets attention gradually in recent years.Three waveform design approaches of REC based on intra-pulse eigendecomposition of linear frequency modulation radar signal have been considered.Aimed at the volatile Euclidean distance of existing waveforms,this paper proposes a new waveform design approach which can maximize the Euclidean distance of communication waveforms in order to improve the reliability of communication and analyses the performance of new waveform design approach through comparing with the existing waveform design approach.Aimed at the theory of Radar Embedded Communication,this paper proposes an applied environment which REC is applied to airborne stepped-frequency radar.This paper proposes a REC waveform design approach based on step-frequency signal and analyzes the feasibility of the application.The main work and innovation points are as follows:1.Aimed at the impaction of the dominant space on the communication performance in the waveform design,the processing gain of the receiver has been derived theoretically in this paper.With analyzing the relation between the dominant space and the processing gain,this paper provides the reason that different dominant space correspond different reliability of the REC.2.Aimed at the volatile Euclidean distance of existing waveforms based on the intra-pulse eigendecomposition REC,this paper proposes a new waveform design approach which can maximize the Euclidean distance of communication waveforms based on the directly spread spectrum technology in order to improve the reliability of communication and analyses the performance of new waveform design approach through comparing with the existing waveform design approach..3.Depending on the applied environment of REC,this paper proposes a REC waveform design approach based on airborne stepped-frequency radar signal.Though analyzing the performance of the step-frequency signal REC waveform,the feasibility of the application has been verified.
