With the rapid development of marine economy,more and more ships are sailing on the sea,and the ship navigation management with advanced technology will be the trend in the future.Electronic chart display and information system,which integrates information display,navigation management and other functions,has developed into an important navigational tools.With the Beidou navigation satellite system,electronic chart can not only display the static information of the sea,but also can display the dynamic information such as real-time position,speed and direction on the screen.The ship operators can make the right judgments based on the information on the electronic chart to ensure the safety of navigation and improve the efficiency of navigation.In this paper,based on the study of the theory of Beidou navigation satellite system and electronic chart,we design the Beidou maritime navigation system with electronic chart as the core.The system has the basic functions of electronic chart,including chart zoom display,color scheme,language selection,etc.Further more,with the Beidou navigation satellite system,the system can achieve real-time positioning of marine ships,route design and other functions.In this paper,we first study the working principle of the Beidou satellite navigation system and its receiver,and after the full analysis of the S-57 transfer standard and S-52 specification,we use the memory mapping technology to read the chart data.After going through the linked list of point and line to plane,the system realizes the electronic chart display and the basic chart function.And then,we design the Beidou receiver based on the UM220-III N module.We write serial communication program and data analysis program to obtain and analyze the Beidou navigation data,so we can get the real-time positioning of the marine ship.At the end of this paper,we study the route design method based on waypoint,and realize the navigation functions such as route design,route management and navigation parameter calculation on the electronic chart.Using this navigation system,the ship operators can get the real time position of the ship in time and avoid the dangerous sea area.At the same time,according to the actual needs,the ship operators can design the route,manage the route and calculate navigation parameters in the electronic chart.When the ship deviates from the planned route,the ship operators can correct the sailing direction according to the yaw prompt,thus ensuring the safety of navigation.The system makes full use of the characteristics of the electronic chart and the Beidou satellite navigation system,simplifies the operation of the ship driver,and effectively improves the navigation efficiency of the ship.
