With the improvement of social economy and the progress of science and technology,Home service robot products began to enter people's daily life gradually.It's not only the rigid demand in today's society in response to the labour shortages,but also the strategic demand of human science and technology progress of the emergence of the home service robots.So its development and application are both respected by many countries around the world.Through the study in the field of home service robots,we can found that in the market,the cheaper home service robot products always lack of functions,and not smart enough,can't meet the demands of users.In the other side,some home service robot products are very expensive because of surplus of functions,and ordinary users can't afford them.For this kind of problem,this article studys the design theory and processes of the product from the perspective of user demands.Function analysis system technology is a kind of design method on the function of functional analysis as the core means which based on the value engineering theory.Through the in-depth study,we found that,the functional design method can consider the relationships between the function,value and cost of the product,but this method can't analysis the product functions from the perspective of user demands.In order to compensate for this defect,this article combines the fuzzy analytic hierarchy process(FAHP)and function analysis system technology(FAST)together based on the traditional theory of the function analysis system technology,and established a new function design process which based on the fuzzy analytic hierarchy process and function analysis system technology,and verified this process by the function design of home service robots.First,this process analysis user fuzzy demand information,and calculate the relative importance of user demands by fuzzy analytic hierarchy process,next,determine the task of product by the calculation results,and correspond the task to the basic function of product.At last aggregate and decompose the basic function by function analysis system technology,and get the complete figure of home service robots function system.The functional design process which based on the fuzzy analytic hierarchy process and function analysis system technology has a innovation on the side of theory.The function of home service robots was designed from the perspective of user demands by this new theory,so the home service robots can maximize meet the user service demands,and promote to it's popularization.
