Design And Implementation Of Facial Skin Evaluation System

At present,the market of the skin evaluation instrument has some problems: most of products are not suitable for daily simple testing of facial skin,because they are tend to be too large and expensive or just have single function.In this paper,we propose and design a facial skin evaluation system based on digital image processing,on the foundation of analysis of popular skin testers and the available evaluation technology of skin condition.It helps to keep abreast of skin condition changes and choose the appropriate way to maintain good skin status.The system mainly realizes skin evaluation in both skin parameters as well as overall status,skin condition tracing,advisory services and account management.Its core function parameters evaluation is implemented base on image processing and analyzing technology.The system has established assessment models of six human skin parameters including skin pore,wrinkle,roughness,balance of water and oil,spot,skin color.Then the integrated evaluation method for overall skin condition has been presented to assess skin types,calculate ranking and provide care proposal for the existing problems.Skin tracing module provides evaluation records query and comparison.Advisory services provide counselling channel between people and cosmetologists.The modeling process of skin parameters evaluation algorithm has integrated multiple image processing technologies.In this paper,a dynamic threshold segmentation method based on Otsu algorithm is proposed to detect skin pore.The adoption of Image indexing model in the skin oil algorithm contributes to the effective performance of oil detection.The theory of Fourier transform and Tamura features are introduced into evaluation algorithm to rating the skin wrinkle and roughness.The existing algorithms are realized for analysis of spot and skin color.We have collected 100 volunteers' facial skin images and established a skin image set with 600 images.The image set is divided into unequal subsets for skin parameters according to the traits of these parameters,then the images of these subsets for different skin parameters are marked and classified manually to research and validate algorithms by contrastive analysis or cross-validation.The experimental results show that these evaluation algorithms for skin parameters can achieve expected evaluation results.
