The Data Warehouse System Construction In Commercial Banks

The EDW system in the commercial banks constructed earlier after 2000,especially in the large banks.After many years of construction,the EDW system of these large banks has been able to form a full view of the business data,supporting the analysis applications.The small and medium commercial banks also developed the EDW system after 2008.At present,the construction method of building a data warehouse system in commercial bank is mature.Through the Enterprise Data Warehouse system,the data in each business source system is integrated together to be an unified data platform.And then,commercial bank continue the construction of data marts and data analysis applications,to meet the business requirements,include Customer Relationship Management,Performance Appraisal,Regulatory Reporting etc.The thesis analyzes the features of the data and business of commercial banks in china,combining with the implementation practice of EDW system in a number of commercial banks.We introduces the architecture and module of data warehouse system,and the analysis application based on data warehouse system.Then we introduces the detailed design and application functions of some analysis applications,such as customer analysis,performance appraisal and index analysis.In view of the large amount of data and the complexity of business analysis,we apply lots of performance optimization strategies in the system to ensure the performance requirements of the data run batch and service query analysis.Currently the enterprise data warehouse system had been put to use in a number of commercial banks.It help them to integrate banking data into a unified view,and provide timely and up-to-date data for business department.With more and more attention to data analysis,the role of data warehouse system will become more and more important.
