With the development of radar technology,LFM,NLFM,PSK,FSK and other similar signals appear more and more in the field of electronic reconnaissance.Therefore,how to estimate the arrival time of pulse signals with various forms in the field of electronic reconnaissance has become a research focus.In this thesis,we mainly studied the various methods of signal TOA estimation.The research contents are summarized as follows:First of all,the basic concept of signal TOA estimation was studied,and several signal TOA estimation methods were proposed.The algorithm performance and applicable range were summarized.TOA estimation was made classification according to the amount of information available on signals and several TOA estimation methods which are applicable to different types of signal were put forward.These algorithms were made the relatively comprehensive summary from the algorithm performance and applicable range,which laid a theoretical foundation for the later research.Then,the self-correlation detection algorithm was researched,and the estimation of the initial and stopping time of the signals was obtained through this algorithm.On the basis of this algorithm,the parameter estimation of different forms of signals was studied.The baseband signal was obtained by the obtained signal parameters,which provided the research foundation for the following algorithms.Furthermore,on the basis of the third chapter,this paper proposed a signal TOA estimation algorithm,called reciprocal correlation accumulation algorithm,which is suitable for many kinds of signals.The basic idea of this algorithm is that: the baseband signals obtained from the third chapter are taken reverse order cumulative to get the modulus,then linear regression is used to estimate the peak value.The accurate estimation of the signal TOA is obtained according to the detected peak point.The algorithm is applied to the theoretical research and simulation analysis of different signals in this paper.At the same time,the estimation accuracy of the signal is obtained.Experimental results shew that the estimation accuracy of the reverse correlation algorithm has been improved to a certain extent.Finally,a Haar wavelet transform algorithm with better performance was studied.Based on the previous research,wavelet transform is used to obtain the modulus of the baseband signal.Based on the extreme point which was detected,the accurate estimation of the arrival time of the signal was obtained.The performance of the algorithm was analyzed by simulation.The estimation accuracy and computing speed of the algorithm is better than the reverse order correlation accumulation algorithm,and it has better detection performance.
