When the laser beam propagate in the atmosphere, the effect of atmospheric turbulence seriously restrict the development of atmospheric laser communication. The effect of atmospheric turbulence will be inhibited by utilizing the properties of non-diffraction,self-recovery and self-bending of Airy beam, thus, the long distance wireless optical communication will be realized. This research is mainly investigated the intensity evolution of partially coherent Airy beams in turbulent atmosphere, and corresponding result is verified by experiment. The main works are structured as follows:1. The expression of the average intensity for partially coherent Airy beams in atmospheric turbulence was derived according to the cross spectral density function of the Gauss Schell Model, the Generalized Huygens Finel principle and the Rytov phase approximation method.2. The effect of related parameters of the propagation distance, the truncated exponential factor, and characteristic length on the intensity distribution was simulated in this paper, and the influence of the beam parameters of Airy beam on parabolic trajectory of transverse acceleration and the scintillation index was also discussed.3. The generation and propagation properties of partially coherent Airy beams have been investigated by experiments, and it verified the influence of the parameters of the exponential truncation factor, the characteristic length and the coherence degree on the intensity distribution of partially coherent Airy beams.The research results show: while the partially coherent Airy beam propagated in the atmosphere, the side lobes of the beam decreased gradually, and the main lobe diffused seriously with the increase of propagation distance and the intensity of turbulence. In addition,with the smaller exponential cutoff factor of the Airy beam and the longer characteristic length as well the coherence length, the intensity distribution of the beam was more complete.Through the theoretical analysis and experimental verification, the results indicated that the smaller of the exponential cutoff factor, the clearer distribution of main lobe and side lobes of partially coherent Airy beam. The larger characteristic length and the coherence degree made a better intensity distribution of Airy beam at the same time.
