With the development of science and technology, the exploration of nature is increasing constantly, and robot technology is also becoming more and more advanced.Wall climbing robot,as a kind of special robot, the most basic function of it is stable adsorption and flexible movement.Currently, researchers have made significant progress in developing and applying adsorption technology in air. However, the method of underwater adsorption still remains at magnetic adsorption because of the complicated underwater environment. This paper discusses the underwater vibration adsorption, which based on the theory of passive vibration adsorption in the air and bionics method.Experiment and theoretical studies for it were carried out.The main contents of this paper are as follows:1.Research on underwater vibration absorption technology. We built a mathematical model of single suction's underwater vibration adsorption, and analyzed the changes of pressure and energy during the vibration process. Some possible influencing factors on underwater vibration adsorption are discussed.2.Design an experimental platform for vibration absorption. We verified the theory of underwater vibration adsorption and analyzed some influence factors on the adsorption force through some experiments on the platform.3.Design a kind of underwater vibration absorption device. The adsorption, vibration, loosening mechanisms and control system were discussed. It has some advantages such as small size, light weight and stable adsorption, which make it suitable for underwater operations and tasks.4.Experiment on the performance of underwater vibration adsorption device. We analyzed the failure mode and determine the adsorption ability of it through the experimental data. The feasibility of its application on underwater climbing robots was also discussed.
