With the increasing number of network applications,the network address is becoming more and more scarce,and the lack of network address has become the bottleneck of network development.IPv6 can solve the problem of address space fundamentally,but at present a lot of network equipment and network applications are based on IPv4,so transferred to the IPv6 immediately is unrealistic.The network address translation?NAT?technology research can shorten the period of transition to the IPv6 network.In order to deal with the problem of lack of IP address,Network address translation 444?NAT444?technology comes into being.The NAT444 is that the operator deploys the overall solution of NAT,which is based on the NAT444 gateway?Carrier-Grade NAT,CGN?and combined with AAA server,log server and other supporting systems.The NAT444 provides the class of operator's NAT,and supports traceability by the users and other functions.Otherwise,because of the NAT444 solve users' traceability problem by port block allocation method,NAT444 becomes the first choice of IPv6 transition case to the operators.The improvement of the performance of NAT444 transition technology depends on the reasonable configure of its resource pool,so,how to optimize the NAT444 resource pool has become the main content of research in the industry.In order to optimize the performance of NAT444,this paper will introduce the JHash3words algorithm to solve the unlimited connection collision detection,and solve the disadvantage of the original bitmap algorithm that it can't sort and search for duplicate data successfully for the first time.Otherwise,this paper describes the relative improvement of bitmap algorithm based on atomic operation,and then solves the bitmap algorithm's single threaded operation problem,and make the NAT machine multi thread work for the first time.In the performance tests of the H3C's F5020 centralized equipment on the NAT444 resource pool core algorithm before and after optimization,In the NAT444 address translation process,we check the session table,and find that there is no packet loss in this process,and the success rate of NAT444 conversion is 100%.So,we also solve the fatal problem of equipment's packet loss before optimization.Besides,the CPU occupancy rate of the NAT444 device has declined markedly and the optimized performance is improved significantly from the experiment results on the number of new session creation.Therefore,this improvement has obvious effect and significance for the optimization of NAT444 performance.
