In recent years,Infrared imaging system plays an important role in various fields.The uncooled infrared imaging system has been paid more and more attention due to its high performance-to-price ratio,good reliability,small volume and low power consumption.At the same time,the imaging quality requirements for uncooled infrared imaging systems are increasing year by year for applications.For the uncooled infrared imaging system,how to improve and ameliorate its image quality has become a hotspot in various fields.This paper starts with the imaging principle of the uncooled infrared imaging system,and a resistive microbolometer was used as an imaging device.The bias effect and noise characteristics of microbolometer were analyzed,combined with the uncooled infrared imaging mechanism and the characteristics of infrared image,the image enhancement method based on uncooled infrared imaging system was researched.In this paper the advantages and disadvantages of traditional image enhancement methods are discussed,the experimental results show that any single traditional image enhancement method has no obvious effect on the noise reduction of infrared image,the infrared image usually loses details to the information,resulted in blurred of the infrared image.To this end,in this paper two kinds of composite image enhancement methods are proposed,Edge enhancement method and Single time domain bilateral threshold enhancement method.Through experiments proved,the edge morphological enhancement method is very effective in the experiment,but the algorithm is complex and lack of real time,it is difficult to deal with in real time on the hardware platform.The advantages of the single time domain bilateral threshold enhancement method are its simple and real time.At last,the effects of the infrared imaged enhancement are evaluated and analyzed in the paper,which will lay a theoretical foundation for the following research.It has certain reference value for the infrared imaging technology of the uncooled infrared focal plane array.
