LED technology advances continue to make significant progress,and widely used in lighting,display,communications and other fields..Compared with many other light sources,LEDs have the potential to convert electrical energy into light in unit efficiency.However,due to the inherent properties of semiconductor materials and the limit of production technology,Ga N-based LED efficiency is not very satisfactory,there is still a huge space for performance improvement.With the breakthrough of micro-nano processing technology,using surface plasmon improve the LED light-emitting characteristics of the study has been in-depth research and rapid development.In this paper,the current popular medium / metal nanostructures and surface plasmonics are proposed to improve the performance of Ga N-based blue LEDs.The finite element method are commonly used in the analysis of modern optoelectronic devices,the physical model of Ga N-based blue LEDs are established,The influence of each parameter on the LED performance is carried out,Also,the structural optimization is carried out to provide theoretical support for the development of a new and efficient Ga N-based blue LED.The research work of the full text is as following:1.In this paper,the principle of LED lighting,as well as the development are introduced,and a deep research on the factors that affect LED luminous efficiency are made,what's more,several ways to improve LED luminous efficiency are remined.2.The concept and excitation mode of the surface plasmon are introduced,and the characteristics and advantages of the local surface plasmon are analyzed.The design of the new LED structure are introduced to provide a theoretical basis of the future study.3.The influence of different metal materials,various metal nanostructures and structural parameters on the LED performance was analyzed.Through the numerical calculation and comparison,the suitable metal was selected and the reasonable structure was designed to discuss the processing technology and the production process of the design model.3.Through constructing the Ag / Ga N double grating LED model to improve the LED luminescence characteristics.Based on COMSOL software,the finite element method is used to simulate and analyze the model.The normalized radiation power and the power of the model under different structural parameters as well as the electric field distribution are obtained.And the physical parameters of the designed LED model are Optimized.
