With the development of the GIS industry,including the concept of "Digital City" and "one map" technology,the original GIS could not meet the realistic needs any longer. The advantage and the unique features of the three-dimensional digital mapping technology in managing increasingly expand the impact in the worldwide area. Three-dimensional mapping system, based on the image-acquired mode by aerial photography, as well as the laser point cloud basis, through automated means, to establish real three-dimensional model, to complete and restore the original appearance of the city, to achieve the functions of the real three-dimensional space roaming and query,and to control the urban construction dynamics.This system is based on SuperMap GIS 7C geographic information system platform, and used cooperatively in data processing, service releases, terminal display, etc. SuperMap SDX + is the spatial data engine module of SuperMap GIS platform, providing data support for other modules in the platforms(visualization module, spatial analysis module, etc.), and realizing data storing, data reading, data changing and data indexing functions.Firstly, introduce the background of the design of three-dimensional support architectural planning decision system in Dalian, as well as the status in China and abroad,and the introduction of the key technologies.Secondly,analyze the entire 3D system, discuss the specific needs of the system, system security and system scalability.Then, show an overview of the design and the architecture of the system, analyze the functional design of the system structure, describe in details about the system control processes and the design of the database table structure.Finally,it is the realization of the system, interface definition,and illustrate several key modules, in this way the system can be understood clearly.At last, make the final conclusion of the whole system.
