WIA-PA standard defines the structure of systems and communication standards on industrial process automation and leads the development of the industrial wireless communication to low cost, high reliability and high flexibility direction. WIA-PA network puts the data as the center, and uses data management and processing as an application goal. Visual management software is in charge of managing and doing visual expression for received data from networks. Thus, it can support decisions being made by the user. Now, the existing visual management software are not fully applicable to WIA-PA networks, especially in aspects of de-coupling between modules and data visualization. Visual management software are necessary to make a further design and optimization.In this thesis, a visual management software is designed and developed for WIA-PA networks. This thesis focuses on designing de-coupling between modules and network topology layout algorithm, it enhances the functions of visualization at the same time. The visual management software can monitor data of WIA-PA networks. The main jobs of this thesis include:1. WIA-PA networks are studied. The main functions of visual management software are explored and analyzed, including data acquisition, data storage, data management, data query and data visualization. According to function analysis, the modules of the visual management software are analyzed, and the design requirements of them are pointed out.2. Index pattern is formed by improving registry pattern. It is used to take de-coupling between modules combined with BUILDER pattern. The pattern can make the visual management software being with good compatibility of hardware platforms.3. Heuristic network topology layout algorithm based on properties of nodes is proposed, according to topological characteristics of WIA-PA networks, by improving Repulsion-Tension Model. It can make the visual management software being with the function of intuitive and clear automatic layout of network topology.4. The visual management software is developed. The architecture of visual management software is designed to five modules, including communication module, real time memory module, database module, management module and display module, to support the functions of data acquisition, data storage, data management, data query and data visualization. All the functions of the visual management software are coded.5. The test system of WIA-PA networks is established, and simulation test software is developed. They are to verify and evaluate the functions and the performance of visual management software.The results of test show that the designed and implemented visual management software achieves the expected design target, and can be used for WIA-PA networks. The visual management software has higher theoretical and practical significance.
