| Despite used by millions of people in different part of the world,bus transportation system can be developed due to the highly fragmented and unorganized factors in different areas.Bus Reservation and ticketing system is a large growing aspect globally.The manual use of bus reservation is presently very strenuous and consumes a lot of time for reasons,an efficient system is readily proposed.Most system are just web-based applications that allows visitors to check for bus availability and ticket reservations but the requirement of on the move reservations makes the mobile application on different platforms very important.The proposed online bus reservation system is not just a web-based system but also a mobile based making a flexible,scalable,reliable system however endeavor to be a very light-weight system but having in mind speed is very crucial.The significant of this system allows admin,bus transportation service provider,users to register,check availability of transport system.It manages the operational of the transportation in matter of booking process and ticketing and addresses some of the problems faced by customers and bus operators.In this project,the proposed bus reservation system developed using Hypertext Markup Language(HTML),node.js,Structure Query Language(SQL),Cascading Style Sheet(CSS),hybrid mobile applications and JavaScript.Node.js and hybrid application is one of the most important technologies used in this project to improve on the existing systems.There are several problems identified when using an online reservation system due to different factors some might be due to database organization,payment form implemented etc.This research also recommends a decision support system to deal with the customers and bus operators requirements whereby it provides reliable choices to a customer to make decisions,some of the future work to be enabled while using the system might include Near Field Communications and better user interface. |
