This topic comes from the national second five pre-research project.The purpose of this research is to track the latest research results of MIMO system radar at home and abroad,and to break the key technologies such as MIMO system radar multi-mode work technology and adaptive transmission signal optimization design.MIMO system radar waveform design for improving the viability of radar and detection performance is of great significance.This paper discusses the evolution of MIMO radar waveform design,the orthogonal phase encoding signal waveform,orthogonal waveform design in multi carrier phase encoding signal waveform,and waveform encoding of continuous phase orthogonal optimization design.In this paper,the optimal design criterion of quadrature phase coded signal waveform is presented,and a set of orthogonal binary phase coded waveform with good autocorrelation and cross correlation is designed by using genetic algorithm and iterative search method.In addition,the concept and construction methods of complementary codes,multiphase complementary codes,complete complementary codes and multiphase complete complementary codes are presented.The complete complementary codes and multiphase complete complementary codes are perfect orthogonal phase coding waveforms with ideal autocorrelation and cross-correlation properties.The multiple carrier phase coding(MCPC)signal have good autocorrelation properties and relatively flat power spectrum.Different permutations of ordering the codes along the subcarriers will generate distinct MCPC signals.A novel generation approach based on genetic algorithm of orthogonal MCPC signals is proposed in this paper.The process is explained in detail and the resultant orthogonal MCPC signals are presented.Additionally,the approach of orthogonal waveform design based on chaos system is explored.The process of generation and the resultant orthogonal chaos waveforms and chaotic-based frequency modulated waveforms are presented.Finally,issues related to the MIMO radar,the system waveform generated in the engineering,and four phase codes designed using orthogonal waveform MIMO radar continuous phase encoding and orthogonal optimized simulation,the prototype verifies the validity of the design method.After the simulation and experimental verification,the orthogonally continuous phase coding used in the waveform design is superior to the multi-phase code and the waveform quadratic programming method.The optimization result is better than the genetic algorithm.
