Unerwater imaging is one of key underwater detection methods which can get longer distance's image and has better environment adaptation compared with other imaging ways such as optics. It formerly used mature delay overlaping algorithm,large-scale discrete component and a mount of sensors that the system is computationally intensive, hardware can not be modified easily and transplanted and sensor array is big. This paper explored the compressed sensing method which be used to underwater image and designed the underwater system using the FPGA as system's master control chip according to the digitization thought. The paper selected LFM,analyzed imaging scene sparsity, designed the dictionary in accordance with emission signal and echo signal's characteristic.Adaptive bank bayes recovery method is used to obtain the scene scattering coefficient which need less data and can get better result compressed with the traditonal imaging algorithm. The design used FPGA as the circuit control chip and the combination of Verilog HDL and schematic diagram to complete the function including AD sample control,SRAM storage control,USB communication control, data decode and so on.And the program is tested by Modelsim. The communication mode between upper computer and circuit is USB which is realized by proramming the 51 core in cyc68013 using C language. The simulation result indicated that using the adaptive bank bayes recovery method by the dictionary designed in this paper can get underwater target geometric construction.Modules in FPGA and USB can pass the test and hardware syestem can work effectively and communicates with PC by the control of FPGA.
