At present, the technology of orthogonal frequency division multiplexing and MIMO technology has been widely used in 802.11a, 802.16e and other standards, it has become one of the key techniques of the new generation of mobile communication technology LTE (Long Term Evolution. For 4G communication architecture, Due to the requirements of speed and the signal transmission quality, how to improve the performance of MIMO-OFDM system and reduce the complexity of the system, is still one of the hot research. This paper mainly studies the detection algorithm of MIMO-OFDM system based on spatial multiplexing, and simulated it in MATLAB for the performance of the system, this paper proposes three improved detection algorithm based on the classical detection algorithm.Firstly, the communication principle of MIMO-OFDM is studied, including the basic realization principle of MIMO system and OFDM system, and the model of the system. Based on the theoretical study of system model, Several classical detection algorithms for MIMO-OFDM systems are analyzed theoretically and simulated experimentally, the optimal detection algorithm has high reliability, but high computational complexity, and interference cancellation detection algorithm has the error propagation problem, not to require a higher accuracy for the environment, so the focus of this paper the research is how to combine the two, use reliability optimal detection algorithm, to reduce the probability of error propagation. This paper mainly studies the detection algorithm of MIMO-OFDM system based on spatial multiplexing, and the performance of the system was simulated in MATLAB, based on the classical detection algorithm, proposed an improved detection algorithm. Through simulation analysis, it is found that the performance of the improved algorithm is better than that of the ordinary interference cancellation detection algorithm.
