Broadband network is the strategic infrastructure to promote national economic and social development and cope with international competition.The access network is the bridge connected to the user and metropolitan area network/backbone,known as "last one-kilometer" of information transmission.At the same time,it is also the bottleneck technology limits the bandwidth of the end-user.Many challenges are put forward for the implementation of the broadband network due to the rapid development of business requirements,such as high definition IPTV,video sharing,cloud storage/computing,social network,high definition video monitoring,P2P and other services,which constantly needs a higher bandwidth for the up and down link transmission.In order to meet these bandwidth requirements,wavelength division multiplexing passive optical network(WDM-PON)has become one of the mainstream schemes of next generation fiber access networks.Although it has obvious advantages in performance,there exists technical complexity,high cost and other issues.Looking for a scheme of economical,low complexity,good flexibility and good transmission performance is of great significance.Thus,carrierless phase and amplitude modulation(CAP)and channel equalization become a hot research in fiber access networks.With the help of access network platform and the VPI,Modelsim and Matlab simulation software,CAP modulation and demodulation techniques,short-distance optical fiber transmission systems with Multiband CAP modulation and demodulation techniques,and the channel blind equalization techniques have been studied.The main work and innovations are as follows:Firstly,the current situation and key technologies of optical access networks is summarized and analyzed.Then make a comparison of common modem technologies and channel equalization algorithms of optical access networks.Secondly,the basic principles of CAP modulation technologies and the basic optical access network channel transmission model is described.Then the basic principle and the feasibility of the combination of CAP modulation and multi-carrier modulation technology is discussed.Thirdly,a long-distance WDM-PON link with 2-levels equalization has been proposed.Then the basic model of CMA and DDLMS algorithms is completed,and make an optimization.Finally,the transmission scheme of optical access network based on CAP modulation and Multiband CAP modulation is described,which implements the modulation and demodulation of CAP and Multiband CAP,and has been analyzed and verified by simulation.
