In recent years, with the rapid development of social economy,people's living standards continue to improve, the amount of goods continues to increase, resulting in the problem of excess capacity with uneven distribution of resources, which makes people interested in sharing model. Thanks to the popularity of intelligent terminals, the development of mobile communication network construction and social networks,communication efficiency is improved rapidly and more and more online sharing systems are used to solve the problem of uneven distribution of resources. The effects are significant, such as traffic sharing system Uber,space sharing system Airbnb and knowledge sharing system GitHub.Shared resources promote the efficiency of our lives and shared knowledge fosters great innovation.This thesis made an investigation in the university and found the problem of excess capacity of book resources. However, the existing book sharing systems have a lot of problems, such as complex operations, lack of book information, unclear book classifications, the users of the system can't communication with each other and the system access is not convenient. As a result, they can not really meet the needs of students in the university. In this regard, this thesis designed and implemented a social based book sharing system. Users are linked with the function of social and make friends with each other, this ensures the sustainable development of our system. Users can access the system easily with PC or WeChat. What's more, we encourage the users to share books with friends and recommend friends for users by fully excavating the contents of the books and the data of user operations. We aim to connect people through books and promote the formation of books sharing ecology.In order to achieve the goal, this thesis studied the theory and technology of Web development and Wechat public platform and the theory of personalized recommendation. Through the analysis of user requirements and the functions of the system, we modeled the system with the unified modeling language (UML). Then, we studied hierarchical architecture and multilayer MVC mode of ThinkPHP development for system design and development. Finally, we verified the value of the system by practically using in the Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications after testing and received attention and praise of students and alumni.
