In recent years, with the development of SDN technology, more and more researches on software defined wireless local area network have been done.Applying SDN to the wireless local area network, the wireless access point can be programmable. With the increasing demand of users and the popularity of intelligent terminals, due to the limitation of wireless resources, it may meet the situation that some APs are overload in order to meet user's bandwidth requirement. In such condition, unbalanced load distribution among APs will lead to waste of wireless resource. Therefore, it is important to allocate the bandwidth resources of each AP in the software-defined wireless local area network.This paper introduces the basic structure of SDN and the principle of programmable wireless access point, summarizes the basic theory and research status of load scheduling method in WLAN, and analyzes the typical load scheduling method for programmable wireless access point, An improved load scheduling method for programmable wireless access points is proposed for wireless network bandwidth resource allocation and transmission throughput problem. In this method, a smart access point association method is designed and implemented, and the relationship between the user and the wireless access point is established by introducing the load balance degree. The multi-population co-evolutionary particle swarm optimization algorithm is used to optimize the configuration of bandwidth resource. Furthermore, a load scheduling method for dynamically migrating users is designed and implemented. Furthermore, a load scheduling method for dynamic user migration is designed and implemented. By evaluating the network state and load status of the access point, a queue of migrating weights is generated to dynamically schedule the network traffic. Finally, this paper builds the simulation environment based on Mininet-WiFi simulation software, and realizes the load scheduling method for programmable wireless access point.The results show that the proposed method is feasible, which can optimize the network traffic distribution and improve the whole network throughput.
