In recent years,software defined network(SDN)is a new network architecture,which is proposed by Stanford University clean slate research group.The core idea is to separate the control surface and the data surface of the network equipment,so as to realize the flexible control of the network flow,and simplify the configuration and management of traditional networks.With the development of the technology of the Internet of things,there are a growing number of networking equipment.The Internet traffic from the Internet of things will be greatly increased.The network load balancing,intelligent management of network traffic and network maintenance will face greater pressure.In the future,traditional networking architecture is difficult to meet the huge Internet business development needs of the Internet of things.SDN provides centralized control of the network.It integrates server and network and presents a unified view of control.It greatly improves the performance of the whole network and provides a shortcut to improve the quality of service.In this paper,based on the typical architecture of SDN,the IoT network is connected with SDN network through an IoT gateway,so the data is able to transmit to OVS,which are managed and scheduled in a unified way through the SDN controller.At the same time,through the north interface of SDN controller,one traffic management center for the application layer is developed,which is responsible for network intelligent management.The intelligent traffic management system of IoT based on SDN includes the traffic management center application and the IoT gateway and IoT application.Flow management center APP contains four modules,i.e.,resource management center,traffic detection center,routing center,and flow meter control center.Four modules work together to achieve the function of traffic intelligent management system.The key element for IoT and SDN network integration is the IoT gateway,which integrates SDN,OVS and border router of IoT.Application of Internet of things based on CoAP to achieve the transfer of environmental data.In this paper,a SDN based Internet of things system is built,and the application of traffic management based on SDN controller is realized.This paper has carried on the system usability test and the module test.The test scene includes the system overall usability test,the flow management center module function test and the network flow management function test.
