With the rapid development of mobile Internet business as well as the huge demand of wireless data services, increase the system capacity and reduce the interference are still the main goal for mobile communication.Conventionnal MIMO technology in a wireless mobile environment can improve the system capacity without increasing the system bandwidth and the transmit power by using the beamforming in horizontal dimension.Compared to conventional MIMO technology,3D MIMO makes the beam more aligned with the user, and inter-cell same frequency interference more suppressed. The system capacity of 3D-MIMO can be further increased by using the beamforming in vertical dimension as well as horizontal dimension. In this paper,we first introduce the TDD LTE-A system level simulation platform based on 3DMIMO channel model. The performance of the system under different schemes is evaluated:Firstly, the performance of the system under different 3D antenna port mapping is evaluated, and the results are compared with the performance of the 2D antenna.Observations are made from the evaluation results:with the same number of antenna elements, the 3D active antenna configuration can provide better performance than the 2D one,and the performance improvement is much larger for MU-MIMO than SU-MIMO.Then,the performance of system with the same number antenna at BS but the different arrangement is evaluated. Finally, the SRS enhancement scheme,1Tx-SRS CSI enhancement scheme and DMRS enhancement scheme are evaluated.
