Research On Visual Ergonomics In Interaction Design

In information era, 80% of information is obtained by vision in the process of human interact with the world. With popularizing of personal computer, time of human using visual display terminal becomes longer and longer. The interaction of human and visual display terminals has become a hot topic among people. Researchers of interaction design concern much of the topic of visual ergonomics features and how it effects on interaction design. Developing of technology and Changing of social environment makes researchers do research with the flow. Human eyes’ visual ergonomics features and interaction process should be considered together. And the characteristics should be applied to practice.This paper focuses on visual ergonomics features, present the process of experiment, analysis of experiment result and application example of experiment result. In the research of this paper, there are three innovation points:This paper researches on the influence of visual ergonomics features to interaction design. It does some experiment of feature and efficiency of interaction of human and visual display terminal from a new angle. Brightness,color, contrast, resolution, field of vision, visual fatigue, 3D stereo vision is chosen as seven important features to do experiments and research. A comprehensive research achievement is obtained.This paper use techniques of human engineering to research on vision features of human eye. From the perspective of people, an experiment which contains task test and can show the performance of human is designed. The features of human eyes can be compared with the result obtained from medical experiment. Furthermore,a creative application technique is proposed. Using this technique, the research method and achievement is applied to testing and evaluation of visual display terminal. Main task, physical measurement and subjective evaluation method is used to design the testing. It combines objective method and subjective method to do measurement. At last, entropy value method in comprehensive evaluation method is used to calculate the evaluation result.
