Coverage is always one of hotspot in directional sensor networks(DSNs),which is the key factors affecting the quality of service.In heterogeneous DSN,the variable capabilities of detecting and connecting radius according to its power increase the difficulty to enhance coverage.The research effectively achieves barrier coverage in distributed manner,and maintains connectivity and meets the different coverage demands of targets simultaneously.The main contributions are listed as follows:It creates two model: changing target circle and energy efficiency ratio(EER),and it also proposes a distributed directional barrier construction based on changing target circle.In heterogeneous DSN,the radius of target circle is determined by the residual energy of single mobile sensor.Target location and orientation of barrier member are calculated by this changing target circle.The ratio of the barrier gain and actuation energy consumption is EER.According to neighbor node EERs,it selects optimal node to form barrier in distributed manner.The simulation results show that the proposed algorithm can effectively improve the coverage and prolong network lifetime.This thesis proposes an algorithm for network connectivity and covering the target points for directional sensor networks.It determines the sensing radius and the communication radius of the node according to the initial energy,and then through the redeployment of a small number of mobile nodes to maintain network connectivity and achieves target coverage.The experimental results show that the algorithm can guarantee the network connectivity,the effective coverage of the target,and to prolong the lifetime of heterogeneous directional sensor network.After studying the architectures of the practical application systems of heterogeneous directional sensor networks,this thesis developed a video monitoring system based on smart home.The system function test shows that the system realizes the function of monitoring the dynamic target.
